“What happens first always appears better and more original than what comes after. If you succeed a great man or have a famous parent, you will have to accomplish double their achievements to outshine them. Do not get lost in their shadow, or stuck in a past not of your own making: Establish your own name and identity by changing course. Slay the overbearing father, disparage his legacy, and gain power by shining in your own way.”

There are many of us that grow through the years with our parents and they become a role model for us in work and life, a thought that has been deeply embedded into our brains without us knowing. However, the problem might be that we might be just stuck in the reality of comparing yourself with your parents, the success that they have accomplished in the career circle and social network. Though there are still some good values which we can learned from their experiences and teachings, but this might not just be the way you wanted things to work it out but you just could not find a better way to do so. It ended up that you are frustrated that things you cannot accomplish or not the way they requested, you find faults with yourself and become low-esteem. To follow one's footsteps is not easy, especially one that successful. You have to break that cycle in order to find yourself and gain back the confidence which all of us should have in ourselves and work towards YOUR own goals. You will feel much better this way round and things starts to turn out better in anyway.
