Grass Jelly with Sweet Potato and Sago

At times, I thought using the most simplify ingredients can produce the greatest dish, but I was wrong on this dessert. It is a pure mixture of shaved ice and sweet potatoes without a tint of natural sweetness in the dessert at all. I would not recommend this dessert to anyone.


Durian shaved ice... Nice to eat but after the ice melted, it is like a overdose of milk mix...


Waffle n ice cream is nice , but the cocoa powder spolit it...

Hey Dan, I think you was talking about the Thai restuarant near your house and this should be the one. I was there just now around five plus but it was closed so I went to eat mee goreng at the coffeeshop we went together for my birthday crab.. Next time we can go there eat together la .. swee bo ?

Has anyone tried carbonated coffee ? I was away in a business trip in Indonesia and they offered me a drink which I am quite surprised. The moment I took the first sip, I knew I am in for it. Perhaps it is a new flavour, I couldn't get over the overwhelming taste of coke with coffee. Why F&N don't sell this in Singapore ? lolx.

I have bad impression on this chain restaurant few years back when I knew they are over-charging for small quantity of food and since I was did not even think about eating there for years. Just today, as I was out to celebrate with my friend's mom birthday, I think I would have banned the restaurant forever from today onwards....

As usual, the dishes are in small portions, but things got worsen. The appearance is worst than normal Kopitiam and almost all are over cook, which seems like a student in a Home Economics class trying to pass his/her exams... So what does Crystal Jade  really means ? Don't they QC check their chefs before employing them ? I was not satisfied when I left the restaurant and begins to continue my dinner food hunt... a good one..

We decided to shift to Somerset 313 as some of them are going for shopping while I was looking for a good place to chill, with coffee and beer. We landed in Brotizeit and instead of ordering drinks, we ordered their signature dish as well, the Pork Knuckle. I was suppose to try it at Vivocity the previous time but they ran out of stock, but I gotten my chance to try it today. It is absolutely delicious !!

We ended early today and as usual I am back to my cozy room to start on my blogging again... Had an average day today, with a bad start at work and bad dinner, but a nice food for "dessert" and companions. Let's hope things are better tomorrow ! 頑張ります！

It is start of a new year but 2011 welcomed me with more shit then I could think of.. Super low morale these few days and with a bad start,will I end another year in a super low key ?Anyway, still manage to meet up Sam n Nic to compensate the day. Had one bowl of 炸酱面 with side dish Wanton Mee. Also had some 锅贴 fordessert but does not taste fresh at all .. Last but not the least, a cup of ice coffee to smoothe the oily food for my breakfast cum dinner . (forgotten I had BK for lunch). Just don't feel anything in my stomach .. Sian !

I think it really has been a long time last time I managed to come for my appointment in time. Phew ! This time round, I am the one waiting for those that are late. Took some pictures of the restaurant while waiting for them.

久しぶりに約束に間に合ったなあ〜僕は普通に友達を待たさせてけどさ、今回は僕が早めに来てたね。みんなビックリしたて。友達を待ちながら、ラストランを写真撮ります！

I did not really know that we are going for buffet this evening and anyway, I have not eaten anything since morning. Good time to replenish my stomach ! After calculation, we have eaten a total of 21 different dishes that night, but considering that the portion are miserable, like a piece per person ?　(The food did not really fill my stomach and I was craving for something else though)

Really, I do not know what is so nice about Sashimi. Love it in the past, but does not really fancy it now. Perhaps I have lived in Japan for too long ? Getting a bit sick of it.

こっちは日本料理食べ放題をやってる、友達は前に全然言わなかった。まあ、いい。朝から何も食べなかった。 総会計は２１類の料理食べたが、お腹まだ空いてるって。多分おいしくないので、ほかの食べ物を食べたいわ。

My personel feel is that this restaurant is good for those that have big appetite while the taste wise seems to be normal or slightly below the standards. I think we paid around 40 bucks each for the buffet. The only plus point I would give them would be the atmosphere, it has a fusion of Japanese's styled Izakaya with a modern design and space.

今回は食べ放題だけど、４０ドラルを払ったちょっともったいないこと。料理の用意普通より良くないと思う。。雰囲気が唯一いい所で、日本の居酒屋とモダンな気持ちを触れてる。 

Anyway, for those who are interested in Japanese cuisine buffet, you can still give it a try. Details as below.

Nothing much to do so we decided to land ourselves in Marina Barrage for kite flying viewing. Managed to notice this view while climbing the spiral stairs. Perhaps we are there too early, there wasn't any wind at all and kite flying as well. By the time I reaches the top, I was perspiring with sweat. Then it is time we decided to go for some desserts.
