Kobe Trip Chapter 11 - Kobe Port Tower

I had finish the Luminaire event and the crowd are dispersing and it is time for us to return to Osaka as well. While on the way back to the train station, we took a short glimpse at Kobe Port Tower before we left. The brightly lit red-coloured tower just stands out from the surrounding buildings and lit up part of the skies. What a beautiful scene !

About Kobe Port Tower

The tower completed its construction in 1963 and stands at 108 metres high that is built in the port city Kobe. The Kobe Port Tower is built with a hyperboloid structure design, which the structural strength is used to support an object high off the ground. The hyperboloid geometry is also often used for decorative effect as well as structural economy as seen on the red-coloured steel Kobe Port Tower. The tower has an observation deck at a height of 90.28 metres which provides a spectacular sight of the bay and surrounding area.

However, do take note that the tower are not open to the public everyday and you will need to pay an entrance fee of ¥700 for adult and ¥300 for children.

What happens below are just the funny things we did along the way

2 Singaporean unaccounted in Bangkok's Santika Pub

Again, we have news of Singaporean killed in overseas. This time round it has happened in Bangkok, and one Singaporean was kill, 2 with minor injuries while another 2 is not yet to be accounted for. The incident took 60 lives and injuring 200 others.

Cause of the disaster might be firecrackers or pyrotechnics which are used for the celebration.

Now I can fully understand why Singapore has ban firecrackers. Because we are living almost side to side and if anything like that would have happen, unimaginable..

I could not stand the heat in Singapore, the 1st thing I did? Took off my shirt... Understanding that it might be a bit barbaric though.
